African elephants roam the African wilderness and forests freely. They are among the big five animal attractions in the animals in Kenya.
The African or Cape buffalo is another of the big five found among the Kenyan Animals.
One of the elusive cats is the African leopard and spotting one is always fancied. It’s possible to spot them in various places within the Kenyan National Parks, game reserves and private conservancies.
Black Rhino conservation efforts are bearing fruit, with Kenya having the largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa. These can be viewed in the sanctuaries and some national parks.
The African cats are readily found in Kenya and are a major attraction at the Masai Mara national reserve as well as in other parts of the country.
These include the big and small cats as well. The African Cheetah is among these cats.
Giraffes are some of the other notable wild animals found in most national parks, game reserves and private conservancies.
There are three distinct subspecies namely, the Maasai, Reticulated, and the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Other wild animals are zebras, wild dogs, crocodiles, hippos, reptiles, and a large bird species. |
